DAY 3 – SOUTHERN SYRIA
Drive through the Hauran Plains
Visit Shahba (Philippopolis): theatre, baths, museum
Visit Sweida
Visit Bosra, famous for its black basalt theatre
Visit the tomb & mosque of Imam Al-Nawawi
Return to Damascus in the evening
DAY 4 – HOMS & KRAK DES CHEVALIERS
Depart for Homs
Visit the mosque of Khalid ibn Al-Walid
Visit Krak des Chevaliers, one of the best preserved medieval fortress
Overnight in the area
DAY 5 – ISLAMIC HERITAGE AROUND DAMASCUS
Visit Bab Saghir Cemetery, one of the oldest Islamic cemeteries, home to maqams of notable sahabah, tabi’in and Ahlul Bayt
Visit the Maqam Sayyidah Zainab (granddaughter of Rasulullah SAW)
Visit the Sayyidah Ruqayyah in the old city of Damascus
Stop at Maqam Bilal ibn Rabah, the muazzin of Rasulullah SAW
Visit several historic mosques around Damascus linked to early Islamic history
Return to hotel and overnight in Damascus
DAY 6 – ALEPPO
Travel to Aleppo, a historic city known for its past glory and prosperity
Visit the Great Mosque of Aleppo
